Pray for Healing and the Lord's Provisions

Dear Friends,

HSP Uncle is continuing his treatment at CMC. He will be going through physiotherapy as well as he is bedridden. Please continue to pray. You may be getting more frequent updates from Mr. Sundarsingh Jebakumar by email. 

His last mail said, 

"There is nothing significant in uncle's health today.The head of the medical team (hematology department) explained in detail  the various stages and methods of treatment(what they call PROTOCOL) to uncle as well as his daughter separately in the morning.Physiotherapy towards mobility will begin tomorrow;please remember that uncle is bed-ridden. This week's hospital bill came around Rs 1.14lakhs. If you need any details regarding this, please contact Dr.  David Solomon  (9443010882)"

Chemotherpy Begins

Medical team informed uncle that chemotherapy would begin today (12-07-2013).
The first one month will be  'concentrated course' i .e giving heavy dose of medicines.
The team will monitor counts during  the first week.
They are hopeful that mobility would be restored in few weeks.I will divulge details in my next update. It looks that Uncle's general condition is good to withstand the medicine.
I believe that this is possible because of the intercession of many saints on uncle's favour.
Please continue to lift uncle to His throne of Grace.
Pray for his daughter Pramila who is attending on him.

Uncle understands his sickness and prays with others... Update 7

"Ponnuraj uncle seemed to have realized the gravity of the sickness only  this morning.  His daughter (Mrs. Pramila Rajendren revealed the details. As a godly person, he accepted it.

Radiotherapy (first session) was given in the morning.This may extend for another four days
The bone marrow biopsy results will reveal the exact location and the stage of this illness.The result may come at any time.  The exact nature and method of treatment (what they call 'protocol') will be decided only after that. 

After radiotherapy, uncle may have to stay outside and come to CMC only for the treatment.

Pray for the stay and related arrangements. MUT guest house is one option....
This evening, uncle's two brothers from Madurai visited him with a few of the relatives.Uncle prayed for them and the two brothers prayed for uncle"

Pray for the Radiotherapy..... Update 6

“HSP uncle was alert and relaxed in the morning. In the afternoon he was stressful and "in-built tense" because of the various tests taken to ascertain the stages of his health problem.

At 6.30am.  Dr Lionel Gnanaraj (of CMC Vellore) came to the room and informed uncle of the presence of multiple myeloma in his body. Uncle asked him a few questions and the doctor explained to him various therapies with its pros and cons.

Uncle' son and daughter, their spouses and I were present in the room during this time. Uncle took the news about his health in peace and we all had a time of prayer.

I had left CMC by 7.30pm.

Prami (uncle's daughter) sent me a SMS which said, “They are going to start radiotherapy tomorrow".

Let us continue to pray for the correct protocol- i.e., the right kind of treatment to be administered to him and for the related arrangements”

The Wellness of HSP Uncle... Update 5

Dear Praying Friends,

HSP Uncle ( now at Christian Medical College, Vellore) needs our fervent prayers, so also the doctors and teams who are taking care of him and doing very important tests at the moment. Uncle needs healing, his children who are with him needs the Lord's special grace. The doctors needs much wisdom too to share with uncle about his health condition.  "The wellness of........" This has been a favorite phrase I had seen HSP Uncle using in his short emails passing on the health needs of others for intersession. Please see the latest update from Brother Sundarsingh  Phil

The medical team will take a decision tomorrow on the therapy to be administered for HSP UNCLE and then the news will be conveyed to him in the afternoon by Dr Lionnel.

Pray that God may grant wisdom to the medical team as well as for uncle to receive the news in the strength of the Lord.

Yesterday, he showed Malachi 4:2 to his daughter:   

"But for you who revere my Name ,the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.  And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall"

Brother Sundarsingh posts us on HSP uncle today..

"The prayer of faith will save the sick,and the Lord will raise them up: James  5;15

The MRI is taken at 1.30am.

Informal disclosure from the doctor is not a pleasing one.

Biopsy is called for and it may be some time on Monday

It looks that uncle understands this development and an anxiety element catches him up

Brother Sundarsingh writes... 

'Daddy enjoyed aappam and coconut milk this night' commented uncle's daughter
On 4th, series of tests like blood test,ECG,X-ray (skull,chest,spine) taken
Uncle is moved to the room A5/520. On 5th, he will undergo ultrasonic sound scan at 9am.; appointment for MRI is yet to be fixed. Pray that diagnosis will be done as early as possible and for the right treatment.
Uncle is able to feel the effect of prayers of many of His saints"
